Join your student in exploring math games and activities online. The following websites are kid-friendly and available to you for free math practice. Click on any image below to be directed to the correlating website.
Assessments are powerful tools. They have the ability to take a single snapshot of a student's understanding. However, assessments are not powerful tools if we do not utilize them properly! Once you've given and graded an assessment, be sure to do the following:
- Look for common trends in questions missed. Example: Did all of the questions missed involve counting objects?
- Ask questions about the errors that the student made. Example: Did we spend enough time covering this concept before assessing?
- What steps will I take in moving forward to help my student gain mastery of these concepts? Example: Reteaching, Online Activities, Projects, etc.
