ST Math Resources & Support
Welcome to ST Math! We are so excited your student will be using this ground-breaking approach to learning math. ST Math is a visual math learning program that focuses on introducing mathematical concepts in grades K-8 in a visual way before introducing the terminologies and math vocabulary that accompanies learning goals. We encourage you to explore this page to learn about ST Math, see how to support your student at home, find resources to track (and celebrate) student achievement, and find resources that are immediately useful to you at home.

Playing ST Math at Home - Tips and Tricks
Parents, one of the most important tips we can give you for helping your child with ST Math is this: Ask your child questions! When a student is presented with a puzzle that they are struggling with, they will probably ask you for help. When they do, we encourage you to use this list of questions to prompt your student to think about the puzzle in a new way. Sit next to your child and think about the problem together. Where is JiJi trying to go? What is in JiJi's way? What happened when you tried ______? What can we try instead? These are all examples of questions you can ask your student to allow them to find success on the puzzle without you solving the problem for them.
Logging Into ST Math
For your student to use ST Math at home, they simply visit web.stmath.com/entrance and click on JiJi (the penguin). They will be prompted to click on the pictures in their picture password and, once they've clicked on all of the pictures, they will be able to begin or continue their progress.
Q: How do I get my student's password? A: Please contact your student's teacher to get set-up! Q: Can ST Math be played on an iPad or tablet? A: ST Math can be played through any internet browser on an iPad or computer. There is not a specific app for ST Math. |

Playing the Games -
Because ST Math is a visual program, there are little to no directions on the screen. If any "directions" appear, they will be in the form of a black pointer that gives students a visual clue as to what to try first in the puzzle. If you or your student is stuck on what to do, we encourage you to see what can be done by trying to click around on the screen. Don't worry - if you get something "wrong", JiJi will give you automatic feedback so you can see what needs to be done next time. Watch the video to the right to see a demo of a game or try a game yourself by clicking here.

Tracking & Celebrating Your Child's Progress
Each time your child plays ST Math, we hope to see a growth of 1% in their annual syllabus progress. You can monitor how much progress your student makes on ST Math by clicking on the drop down arrow in the center of their screen by their last name. There are a variety of ways to track and celebrate your student's accomplishments on ST Math.
Print this chart and have students shade in the percentage that they complete each day on ST Math. Quick and easy!

Each time your student completes 10% of their syllabus, they can earn a passport stamp. This is not embedded into the digital ST Math program, but is a separate element you can choose to use to motivate your student. Print the cover page, fold some paper inside to make a passport and reward your student with a stamp every time they finish 10% of their syllabus.

Enjoy celebrating your student's accomplishments by printing and customizing these certificates for your child! Use them however you'd like!
